Recommendations compatible tank mates

Regarding dwarf cichlids, males will get really territorial and fight more. Much better to get a male and female pair.

You should start your own thread regarding this. Stocking seems fine to me though, you could add more if you wanted.

Hello DefJ123 thanks a ton for the suggestion. Few more questions
- How much more can I add ?
- Which freshwater non-agressive small sized live stocks can be added??

You could have 15 cardinals and 15 rasbora's in there.
There are so many choices in small non aggressive fish... it depends on your personal preference.

A few more questions today

1) I see in Authmal's signature, his 55g tank has a koi angelfish with 2 rams. My tanks footprint is bigger than a 55. Can add a single anglefish, discus, or festivum with 2 a. cacatides or 2 rams

I did. I also haven't updated that signature in years, and need to do so.

I woke up one morning to discover that the angel was missing the upper part of his jaw. I'm guessing he tangled with the rams, and lost. I ended up euthanizing him after a few days, because he wasn't able to eat. I should have taken the advice that was given to me.

I would've figured the angel would be the aggressor, isnt it more than double the size and more aggressive?

Id love to get a single festivum as my "centerpiece" fish, according to every post Ive found, it should be fine. Through maybe Ill stick with the smaller more peaceful honey gourami, The male pearl might be a problem becasue its bigger and both are top level fish.

SEGWAY, are live plants an option or will the fish i picked destroy them?

Thanks for the reply Loach >> I would always want to have tetras / schooling fishes. I would also would like to inform that I will be having 15 cherry shrimps ... taking that could also into consideration, hope I can add one more species of tetras. I would prefer Ember/Neon tetras as both species are non-aggressive & don't grow more than 1inch.

Do NOT keep a single discus, it will be very unhappy...don't do it!!

Festivums are not the same as discus, but you are right, I was not looking for "school" size or whatever fish poeple

From their description rams and appistos are ideal tank mates for the flag cichlids that would give me a nice range of colors and body shapes.
