Let’s Talk Fertilizer & Schedule ( again)

I do seem to be having an ammonia spike .25 for two days now.
I did disturb the substrate and add the two new fish. I am doing every other day pwc( using prime but not at full ammonia lock dose ) And am hoping the good bacteria will catch up soon. Does this sound normal for what I did?

Have you checked your tap water? It could be a false reading. What kind of fish did you add, unless you added big fish like gold fish I wouldn't really expect that as the nitrifying bacteria only take half a day to multiply.

I have and the tap is reading yellow . But I just stopped using api stress coat with water changes and started using prime. ( my first water change was hard. I accidentally treated the 20g dose instead of the 5g I Should have treated at water change. My fault. But I caught it before the next pwc and now am just dosing the 5g buck correctly. ) I am wondering if that’s where my problem started? I did also disturb substrate planting and then added the 2 German blue rams. So I did multiple things but the still reading .25 on day 3 is what has me. I did a partial water change yesterday and I am wondering if I should do it again today? Or just watch. :/

Here are all the pics from yesterday prior to WC I didn’t take a pic today tho. It’s slightly lighter but not much. But I am hearing when using prime it won’t necessarily affect the reading of the API ammonia test because it doesn’t know the difference between the two types of ammonia I don’t know ( I am new to seachem prime )

My tap and other tank are reading a zero with the same api ammonia test.( I ordered seachem ammonia alert on amazon to help monitor the tank)
I will test both Tank and tap now and take pic So you can see.

I think it's a false result, you can check this by treating a bucket of tap water with prime, then test that.
The fish are still fine and you have all those plants in there right?

I was JUST thinking about doing that! I will now. Yes everyone ( fish wise is doing fine, I don’t see any one gasping or hanging at the top ... ( begging for food because I haven’t fed them in 24 hours LOL ) I will test prime bucket now thanks
I also don’t see any significant plant death to cause it either ( included pic)
