Maybe. IF the room temp won't vary greatly from the tank temp. I keep my house at 65-67 and if I need to maintain a temp of 78-80 a 100w heater will just not cut it. I'd spend the extra dollar or two and go to a 200w heater. There's more than just the 5w/gallon equation that should be taken...
