The 32watt bulbs are actually more powerful (more output) than 40 watts, T8 > T12 btw. Usually Walmarts have the shoplights that have enough of a lip to support the bulbs off of the glass.

Instead of using fish as janitors, buy a gravel-vac, the WC's will do some good too.

I like the T5HO setups better, because of the flexibility in wattage. And since the bulbs are linear, the light is better utilized with reflectors and again, you can use the second bulb as a midday burst when a CO2 system is present.
