hey all! I have a guestion for my grandma. At Christmas time I got my grandma a 1 gallon or 1.5 gallon(not sure) tank to put a betta in. Well, a few months later the betta died. So now she doesn't want a betta or a goldfish. Her tank has a bubble tube in it. No heater or filter. She wants to know if there is any other fish that would be able to go in her tank. Thanks!

Not really, that size tank is even pushing it for a betta IMO, WAY TOO SMALL for a goldfish anyway, they need at least 10-20 gallons per fish, they can get almost a foot long, some much bigger than that even. She could get a couple of african dwarf frogs, maybe a few snails, or some shrimp. Those could be fun, however would need water changes every couple of days with no filter, and kept in a room where the temp. doesn't fluctuate much

I Dont Know??????????

 I know its wrong but I want my betta to be meaner. :spam: can someone give sugestions to my problem. :thud: he got his *** kicked by the other one i just would like him tougher  let me know

Its just the betta. Some are mean and some are not. Theres nothing you can do to change that.

I keep bettas in one gallons with no problems. But you do have to stay on top of the maintenance and water changes. But since grandma doesn't want another betta, I would go with the ADFs..(african dwarf frogs)..just dont' make a mistake and pick up some african CLAWED frogs ! They get huge and are ugly and everything...lol...

You can set up a nice little habitat for a couple of ADFs in a 1 gallon. They are a pretty comical little frog...especially when they're trying to find the food...lol. I would use natural looking stones and some live plants in there..java moss is a good choice...maybe a small clump of water sprite. Frogs are messy so the plants will help with that..but be sure to do a good regular cleaning and water change.

:)

Hmmm water change on a 1 gallon do you dip a tea spoon in the tank and your done
