10 Gallon Paludarium A Tribute

Here are the pics of these critters.

These ones appear to be congregating. Now that is one thing that I will not stand for. After the photo shoot I went on a killing spree.

If you can't identify them can you at least suggest a way to kill them? The guppies can be removed but I would rather not because nothing from this tank is going back in my main tank. and my 15 is not setup yet.

I have them on the underside of some of my pond plants. Hitchhikers from your wild caught plants. They won't harm anything, I think they eat the juices from the plants. Your guppy will find them as tasty snacks though.

Those don't sound like good suggestions for these bugs or tank.
1. I have fish in here that I said I don't want to move.
2. These bugs are out of the water as you can see in the pics.

They look like aphids from what I can see. I usually spray them with a bit of insecticidal soap, but obviously that's not a good idea in the aquarium. Continue to manually destroy them, and if you can't get them under control that way, use a peroxide dip. Or you could just submerge the plants; the little guys can't survive underwater, and will soon starve without a plant to feed on.

I think you were correct on your Ludwigia repens ID. It looks a bit different in the wild than it does when tank-raised.
