10 Gallon stocking advice?

I believe what you mean is 20 L gal, not 20L.
You probably meant 20 gallon Long tank, but it comes out as 20 Liters.
yea, we're American lol we don't measure aquariums in any other unit I usually symbolize it with "20g L" or something like that, but we forgot

A weekly water change on a 29 gallon takes 20 min at most and that's if your sink is across the house. If that "destroyed you" then I would not recommend a 10 gallon, especially one that heavily stocked. You'll still be looking at weekly water changes and just because you're taking half the volume, doesn't mean it takes half the time. You still need to do filter maintenance, gravel vacuum, water testing and algae cleanup. However, because smaller tanks are more prone to rapid changes in water chemistry, these will be even more important than they will be in a 29 gallon.

I wouldn't push so hard for a 29 gallon, because the footprint is the same and none of the fish you want requite a lot of height it's not really giving you much of an advantage over a 20 gallon long.

Just a thought... If floor space is an issue, how about a 20 high? It doesn't give the fish as much swimming space as a long but still definitely better than a 10 gallon.

nope, meant 20L lol. Pretty commonplace to refer to tanks by gallons and dimensions. 20L, 40B, 29T etc etc. The OP was about a 10 gallon tank lol I wouldn't change over to liters especially since I don't use the terminology.

Litres/liters would be a lower case L, not upper, unless written incorrectly.

Unless you're in the UK and then the abbreviation "L" is correct for scientific measures. International gets confusing

I'm from the UK, see how addled my brain gets with this transatlantic stuff?

I'm from the US, but living in the UK and trying to put out scientific writing. . . and my supervisors are Canadian. . . its a mess! I finally think in Celsius and the 24 hour clock, but my spelling is a disaster, I can't remember which is which and its only been 2.5 years. . . I can't keep anything straight. So, whenever anyone writes "20L" I have to look at where they're from to know what they mean.
