12 Volt Man's New Fishroom Thread

Nice shots!

are they behaving?

so far...

in the quarentine tank, they just lie around like normal clown loaches. sleeping on their side and such.

in this tank, they swim everywhere..probably why they were nippy before..

I tried them back in because I have to be sure they were really nippy. I am only 30 years old, but I have been keeping aquariums since I was 12..and about 16 of those years I have had clowns in one tank or another. I have had them with everything from discus to cardinal tetras to silver dollars to south american cichilds etc. and they have NEVER been nippy..

but, they are a botia, and we all know how some botias act..

only time will tell..

thanks everyone

****, clowns misbehaving. I watched one swim up to my redhook at the top of the tank and take a bite...

why do I have the only clown loaches that think they are skunk loaches or something??

they are going back into the quartentine for now...

its not worth my redhooks getting nibbled on and looking like garbage..

How many are there? I have found that schooling fish get more aggressive toward other fish when they are either a) stuffed into too small a space (probably not the case here) or b) don't have enough conspecifics to spread aggression so it gets taken out on other fish.

It all looks great 12-Volt! I am so surprised your clowns are nipping like that!
