BTW Racer I did check with GlassCages.com today - way too spendy to get a tank from them to Oregon. Thanks for the try!

I do want to make most / all of the stand and canopy myself.
Whatever - I am going to take "all" the credit for it anyway (lol)!!
I wanted to shout out a quick thank you to everybody who has participated in this build thread already, including Vader, BK, 12 Volt, Racer, Matt (Teeds404), Star Rider, Aquaholic (sweet name - BTW), AquaParadise, and H3D as well as all the many others who have viewed.

and good luck with that canopy and stand I thought about it myself and even drew it out and checked out home depo on all material, but then I woosed out at the very end. Didnt think I could build one good enough to be proud of it standing in my livingroom even though I build the house. Funny ha.
my nickname, since you mentioned it, came frome my first boat that I bought with the decal (aquaholic) and then a year later I bought an SUV with the same decal came to like it that way

came to like it that wayCongrats Coy! Building a stand and hood I find to be quite fun. Also you get exactly everything you want out of it. Now are you going to attempt to copy the stand from aquaglass (I think thats the one from our LFS) or are you going completly off on another tanget and going to make yours from the ground up?
