210g Build Thread....

Well, of course. I stopped by my LFS at lunch to scout out some fish, and they only have 3 Green Chromis in stock. Crap. Every other blasted time I've been in there in the last month they have had at least 7 or 8 of the little buggers, but not today. Their deliveries are on Tuesdays, so I guess I'll have to wait if I want more than three. :rant2:
They do have a pile of Pajama Cardinals, though. hmmm...

I kinda like the idea of a community tank with lots of small fish...I think that's the direction I want to go. Big fish are cool, but I think I want to get some diversity and a lot of color in there.
And monster big fish are kinda creepy:hypnotized:.
On another note my tank just went through it's first power outage and no flood...woo-hoo!. We just had a NASTY thunderstorm come through here. I have tested the siphon-breaking holes in my filter return several times, so it really wasn't a big surprise.

my mom would kill me if i came home with a 210g tank....
That's funny because my Dad was VERY upset when he came home from work one day and found my brother and the guy from the pet store setting this monster up in his living room :argue:(which as a result became a bit smaller). He got over it eventually.
I just got my first chunks of LR from another LFS that I had completely forgotten about. I only bought about 15lbs, but it's a start. I will add to it slowly. not sure of what type it is, but I'll post pics this evening....and it was only $5/lb. He told me that when my tank is more established he will pull out a nice piece or two from his tank at home with some nice coraline on it.

A tank that size, you need to take it slow, unless your bank account is equal to it :p: . I usually look on craigslist for anyone that trying to get rid of their aquarium and take the live rock off their hands. (I bought about 50 lbs. for 25$ once) I would suggest that. Although when i go to the LFS and see a nice looking piece i might grab it.

Here's my rock. There are two dark ones in one picture and one piece in the other picture. I have no idea what type of rock it is....any ideas?
