230 Tank Build

How many gallons is the sump, 55g?

The tank itself is an all-glass 125 gal.

How much of that volume is the actual operational capacity while serving as the display tank's sump is something I have yet to caculate. If I were to guess, probably 40-50%.

Hooray -the plumbing is essentially complete. <see pics> I plan to water test by week's end. My disclaimer should be obvious by all the pruple residue, I have never plumbed anything before in my life. I am most worried about the Right intake line of closed loop I had a very difficult time getting the flex PVC into the elbow since the space was small.

Fortunately, this is an area where a small leak would likely be aceptable. Right? I mean the water would simply leak into the overflow area.

Nice job. What's that gray part above the ball/union valve? It looks like some sort of manifold but has a power cord attached to it.

It's sched 40 flex PVC, or so the they advertise. Nevertheless, it seemed to fit perfectly inside the unions. Of course, the true test will come when I run water through the line. <gulp>
