29 Gallon Journal

none of the petcos had them in stock :( so i have to wait till christmas to get it. an opaline will be ok in my stock right?

Yeah, after working super hard, and breeding and selling angelfish/shrimp/guppies/etc. An they were $12 each, and I have saved up over $1000 of money my grandparents/cousins give on my birthdays/x-mas/and whenever I go to India:)

Saving is super hard for me, as I do a lot of instant buys, but after a while, I did it:)
You should try it too, you have got to convince ur parents by telling them their friends/family will like a bigger tank, the fish will like it, less chance of crowding, more stable water parms, etc. And it is a piece of decor in your house. It took my 1 year to get my mom and dad to upgrade from my 20G to a 72G using Bday and Xmas money.

i live upstairs so no big tank for me :( a dude convinced my mom that anything over a 55 gallon tank will fall throught the ceiling

Check out the dragonscale bettas at Petsmart these days. They have a short tail fin - very much Plakat like...and would be fine with the fish you have. Bettas will interact with you.

Petco used to have (and may still in some areas) king bettas - a large plakat.

I'm pushing plakat because with the shorter tail fin nipping isn't a problem like with a normal store bought betta.

my betta right night doesnt interact with me. or maybe i dont notice it. and i tryed my crowntail with my current stock and it attacked my tetras.

Hmmm...then ask your petco about bolivian rams and the same with your petsmart. Both carry them from time to time, but not all the time.

Well, Bolivian Rams are the type of fish that is very interested in life outside the tank. Dwarf Gouramis can be very interested in life outside the tank, too. If there is anyone you trust at either your petco or petsmart, ask them if any of the DGs are doing well and appear healthy. There must be some good stock out there!
