29 Gallon Journal

Brad - I'm guessing you're reliable with the water changes! Sounds like a fun tank.

Allaboutfish - no, they're very similar in personality and interactiveness. Again, like cichlids, they'll vary depending on the fish...each one is an individual.

Probably...just stay on top of the water changes. Other pleco options are rubber lip/bulldog plecos and clown plecos (although you must have driftwood for the clown pleco).

Otos are just out and about all the time...even during the day. I think if you like active fish, they're more fun. The other plecos, though, are hardier.

hmmm which would be better. a rubberlip or bristlenose?

A bristlenose, they look much better than rubberlips, IME, rubberlips look UGLY! But, still plecos, if you have enough money, you could try getting a few green longfin BN plecos for $12 + shipping which isn't that bad.
