wow man, that's really really nice! I would never have guessed that was your first aquarium (aside from the fact that the rocks and plants are lined up perfectly )

here is an updated photo taken today. some nice folks at the local planted tank group shared some scraps with me.

I'm affraid there may be no room left for other plants, until I get more lighting.

Looks beautiful. I'm sure those are some very happy fish. Eventually you might want to put a black backing on it, but it really does look quite nice right now.

irishspy, thank you for the kind comment. yes the fish seem quite content. I did put my black board background back up later today to enjoy the new rearrangement (after the photo). The black backing makes the colors pop.

rogers138, andi872 and rich311k thanks for commenting on the photo. I picked up 5 little dwarf suckermouths today and they immediately began scouring the plants and glass for algae, cool!

little update, 1 oto croaked, another croaked and became plant fertilizer.

I just discovered something called lens correction, I used lens correction for this previous front on picture. Cool eh? It's gonna be a while before anything new grows in, if at all
