He hasn’t eaten in over a week and the treatment hasn’t been helping him. I woke up to him in his side completely but still breathing heavily.

I'm sorry to hear this.. When my Candy had dropsy, I came to him laying on his side and passed on sight.. Its not easy to lose anyone in your life

I’m going to pick up clove oil and euthanize him. He hasn’t gotten better no matter what I tried. He’s suffering and I don’t want him to suffer anymore.

He had passed away while I was at work.

He was one of my favorite bettas I currently have. But I have 4 others that I have to care for. Water change day tomorrow for my bettas.

I'm sorry for your loss. You tried what was possible. Once a fish is bloated chances of recovery are very slim... maybe something like 5% with epsom salt and/or an anti bacterial treatment.

I did do everything I could. Sometimes its not enough.

Yea. I have to catch up on water changes now. It’s hard to do them at times cause my right shoulder is still not strong enough to carry anything heavy.
