I would say you are stocked, at the very least, once these fish are grown. Likely overstocked. And I would definitely not recommend adding Discus to this tank.
u_u *sigh* It's frustrating, really. When i really thought I had like the perfect size tank for my fishies. Deadxero, i'll letcha know they all were in a 20 gallon before in a long time, and i would be coming here because of my stress fish problems and have been told many times thats overstocked (especially by RoanArt if I remember) >_> I agreed with them, but hesitated for a while until Ive gotten my flowerhorn parrot and thought I think its seriously about time to get a bigger, and more better natural tropical tank~~!!A 40 gallon sounds good, bought it and found out it's actually a 55 gallon;screamin with joy hahahahaha!!!! BUT I still had no clue that my poor fish actually needed to be with the big gigantic tanks. I thought I was with the big side tanks now this time, My Dad spent big bucks on this just for me. No joke. 55 gallon, fluval 205 filter canister, and lighting. A whooping 750 bucks total. Driftwood,sand 70 bucks. >_< I thanked my Dad extremely too much. I thought my boys would be happy now,Yay. BUT EVENTUALLY OVERSTOCKED?ACKKK!??!IM CHOKING MAN!
:sad::uhoh::shakehead::crazy::hypnotized:
Well anyway besides the mad, sad wall of text,
I have taken out my aggressive fish except my chinese algae eater:
Flowerhorn Blood red parrot x1
White-yellow Angelfish x1
One red blood parrot x1
Silver dollars x2
Blood red parrots x1
Chinese Algae eater x1
New Blood red parrot x1
I think thats fair enough room,no?I takened out one of my blood red parrot(i think he's another double hybrid) he/she too, was somewhat aggressive too, but far less worse than the flowerhorn red blood parrot, sharing somewhat similar personalities, the two didn't get along, but swam along while still avoiding themselves. He's been in my 20 gal tank for sometime, kinda miss him and his energeticness

but if you gotta do what you gotta do, and I took him out. I had to do it for my regular red blood parrot as he has been tortured for sometime, causing him to stress out. I added one new Red blood parrot. Hoping he/she gets along. Thankfully he/she looks peaceful at the moment;he's probably the typical greedy red blood parrot personaility nonetheless , i think he's 3/4 peaceful. :idea: I hope he's not greedy & aggressive. It does make a little sense, aggressive and greediness does match up, just like all of us;it's amazing to see how fish too, have extraordinary minds just like us.
Well, there goes my analysis in meh head...:huh:
And heck, I'm not buying discus;though they are hella very tempting to go for;but nah!NEVAH i think they are hard to care for anyway,not so hardy fish, ill just be like ripping out 30 to 50 bucks if I buy one and then they die out easily.
All these fish shall be my final when i swap my chinese algae eater with a blue bristle nose pleco that grows 4 or 5 inches. Then I plan to grow real plants like java moss and fern. I plan to buy smaller rocks too to give more room rather than those two ornament chunks.
