55g Planted tank (The Start)

Nice job Bk! I still have to set up my 55g after moving and am starting from absolute scratch. I may have to "borrow" your island idea. I've seen that sort of scape done many times and I always admire how clean and well presented it can look.

Doesn't the airstone thing help to clear the water? It's awesome!
Sweet tank! I love middle landscaped plants./

I added the airstone since the water temp was somewhat high and i forgot to turn off the co2 so some fish were gasping

Getting...envious...of..tank!
I really can't wait until all that stuff grows out!
Thanks, I just remembered that i should be getting blyxa japonica this week so can finally finish the plant list and let the tank mature

YOO lol long time no see, good to see you back.
Borrow away, just make sure to send me a check for the idea :)
Island style is pretty good though, my fish love the open space now and plecos love to hide between the rocks/wood.
Get your tank up and running asap!!

Did you sell off the bolivian rams, Bk?
Nope, still have them. Though during the rescape for some reason my older female died. So now im stuck with 3 males in the tank, which are not so agressive at all.
During the rescape i actually lost:
1 young albino bn
2 white clouds
1 bolivian

7 months is just TOO long to wait after this teaser shot! :)

I know life is keeping you busy but PLEASE stop torturing us! I am really curious where this tank went because this shot (the one below) is also my favorite shot of this tank, even with the low water line, filter tubes & floating plants. :D

=) i feel bad that someone still has hope for a tank that turned into a disaster over the past few months... Ive been preoccupied with work + crazy school schedule, I am finally in the finals week so perhaps in a week and half will do a complete tank cleaning and post some shots.. (mind you i havent done a complete water change for about 3 months now)
At the moment im thinking about purchasing a DSLR, so considering selling some of my fish and if anything the planted tank equipment to support the purchase.. really hate to do this but ehh...

 That is a bummer but I understand things change, I am getting ready to replace my cichlid tank with a planted community tank. :) If you get a DSLR & sell some fish & maybe the planted equipment, what will become of this tank?

Good luck on your finals!
