65 gallon LJ project

I really appreciate your contributions to the subject, I think I would be more inclined to t8, I just don't like leds very much, I think tanks look very artificial with them, but that's just my liking and opinion, I know that many people are very taste with leds.
I love LEDs so Im partial but i will state a case for LEDs.

I agree with you that certain LEds make that tank look "artificial" as you put it. But many LEDs nowadays are adjustable. You can create the colors that you want by adjusting the light. MIne does that. I love it.
It also grows plants well.

But i doubt you'll cahnge you mind.

No, not the elodea, the 2 on the left in front of the big rock near the front sword. Small swords? & are you trying to grow a sword on top of the wood? That won't work...

It is cool you can collect plants but be careful not to bring home "critters" or "weeds". Some are taking over areas near me from irresponsible hobbyists

Oh I understand, that plant is a Cryptocorine, terribly developed as you can see. When I collect my plants, I examine them before and after taking them, so that they do not have snails or algae, in case if they do, I remove the algae from those that have it before adding them, I clean them well too.

Do you mean that plant on the wood? Its roots need to be in the substrate. Crypts often "melt" (lose all their leaves) when moved. If the roots are healthy they come back.

The plants in the wood are amazon swords, the little plant in front of the rock is a cryptocorine, here you go:

A few days ago it was my birthday, my wife sent me to make a cake with my favorite marine fish, I regret that I don't know much about my favorites in freshwater, and the gifts keep coming, I'm very lucky that she tries to put up with me with this hobby, I'm a nerd and passionate about marine angelfishes.
