65 gallon LJ project

Yeah for another tank & more fish! My husband is an enabler & helper up to a point, lol. I don't think it will include zebra plecs any time soon :) We saw them many years ago back in our poor student early fish keeping days, wow!!

Your apisto looks like he's feeling very good now, I bet he'd like a lady friend...if you can get 1. I like the usual contrast of male & female apistos. You get two pretty fish that can look very different & the possibility of eggs, maybe even fry, for at least a while. Breeding and parental behaviors very fun to watch. Think about it! Or a ram male for your girl...
I'm not sure with the idea of creating pairs in my tank, if they spawn they will be extremely territorial, but the idea of more tanks definitely has in mind. What's your name? I would like to refer and thank you for your name and not for fishorama, you have made many contributions to this thread :). It's great that your husband helps with all that, my wife does not like the idea of aquarism very much, but she supports my passion and I should not complain lol !.

I must say that the visit to the fish market was incredible, it's a day that I will not forget and I hope to return soon, maybe before the end of the year, but at the moment I'm very happy with the experience and of course, I brought some new fish to home:

New guys:
Electric Blue Ram - Microgeophagus ramirezi
2 x Flying fox - Epalzeorhynchos kalopterus
Blue Platinum Angelfish - Pterophyllum scalare
5 x Corydoras loxozonus

Fortunately there is no aggression from any fish here, nor any sign of aggression between the 4 dwarf cyclids, I was hoping to get an electric blue ram, and here it is, now I would love a black ram, but that will be in another tank :D.
Of course here you have FTS:

Well, your new electric blue ram doesn't know he's any different from your pretty ram girl. Sparks may fly in a breeding way!!

I kept cory loxozonas once, they were quite shy with only 5 or 6.

I don't know "black rams"...they don't sound nearly as pretty as electric blue or normal rams. To each their own preferences...

My corydoras loxozonus have an incredibly interesting behavior, they swim in the middle of the tank, as if they were neon tetras. They are extremely curious, and even though they were a bit expensive, I didn't even take a minute to decide to buy them, I'm very happy to have these little ones.

Very cute! That's a different behavior than mine had. I got 3 from 1 lfs & 2 from another the same day so they were strangers to the tank & each other. They did hang around together but only on the bottom.

I have called these guys "the bluest in the tank":
