Yeah that doesn't look like leopoldi, but leopoldi are really cool. I'm aiming to keep them in the near future.

Alot of young juvenile angelfish look alike but I think it is a young manacapuru, just because the vertical bars match the adult form.
:)
Oh yes of course I have thought about this variety, if I have this specimen I will be doubly happy, it is an amazing looking fish

Well, the tank has arrived this morning, its measurements are as follows: 150cm x 44cm x 50cm H. The tank gives a total of 330 liters, and currently I have 240 liters of fresh water completely in order. Tomorrow I will get more plants with low requirements, it is a rather long tank and it will not be easy to fill it with 'green color'.

Plants are currently operating on nutrient substrate, only momentarily. In the next photograph you can see the animals 'waiting' for the change. The plants are going to have a layer of JBL AquaBasis Plus substrate, and on top of it they will have nutritious substrate, despite being plants with low requirements, I want to give them the necessary care so that they are always healthy and beautiful plants, I remember something I read in a magazine several years ago in my beginnings: "in a suitable environment, even the demanding fish are comfortable". Since then I understood that I must give the most pleasant environment to my fish, they will appreciate showing their unique beauty.

My first thought was mancapuru as well, but i'm not too familiar with wild type angels.

A thing I noticed was the vertical bars have irregular edges. Don't know if that means something, but my p.scalare silvers have straighter line bars.

After several hours the tank was installed along with all its inhabitants, the most complicated part was the descent of the dorsum to the sump, plumbing is not my thing, so I struggled for a couple of hours. The plants stage was not as difficult as I expected, I finished planting in less than an hour, but like all the things I do, I like to take my time, so I started at 9 a.m and finished near 8 p.m, with a break that I use for my lunch and a visit to the materials store. The hardscape is completely simple, playing with the rocks and the trunks is very fun, I use the JBL aquabasis plus substrate and I am completely satisfied, the ease of handling and how well the roots of the plants are inserted is incredible.

More photos tomorrow when the water is completely clear and the stress of the fish decreases, although I must tell you that all the fish were comfortable at the end of the installation, I'm happy. :D

Lovely. Just be warned the when a pair forms (and one will) the were be some territorial aggression that will result in some major issues.

Don't worry, I have the 35 gallon tank and the 10 gallon tank plus the 25 gallon containers in case there are any unforeseen events. Until now there is no aggression, all angels swim in a group when it comes to feeding and disperse after.
