65 gallon LJ project

Of course, forget to mention it, in the past days I got a trio of Dicrossus filamentosus, a dream fish for me, unfortunately only one survived, I could see that he behaved little aggressive with one of his companions, I suppose I had to have bought a larger group, but I've seen them in threesomes, I still can't figure out what happened, anyway here I share some photos:

Love them. Dicrossus is one of the genera that I really adore but some of the fish in that genus are pretty hard to find

Nice little checkerboard cichlid there. So cute. D love to have them some day. :)

The behavior of D.filamentosus is incredible, swimming subtly close to the substrate, roots and plants. It is very similar to the behavior of the Synchiropus species in saltwater, very curious and swimming throughout the tank, here the dicrossus has enough space, I hope that my future apistograms will think the same in space ?

Neat. I think you should be fine adding the apistos.

Erm, well I have to disagree. All 3 of the checkerboard cichlids from what I know are timid and max out around 2 inches from my knowledge so IMO they should not be mixed with apistos :)

Sorry to hear the loss. Was it a t.pumila because it looks oddly big.

Well, I installed the tank a couple of weeks ago and the fish have done very well. The dicrossus filamentosus is increasing in size, and I have not added any fish from my initial list, so I was just thinking of sharing some photos:

3 weeks after starting the tank, some of my plants are just not doing well, so they are in the process of being removed to find a more appropriate home for them, I don't want a high demand planted tank, just a natural aquarium where my angels feel comfortable. After this time we are a bit arrested with the progress of this tank, we have not obtained new specimens, and apart from the growth of my specimens, there is nothing extraordinary to share with us, we are stagnant and with subdued enthusiasm, we hope that weeks will come promising ...
