Thank you, luckily my fish are doing great and I appreciate that you share the information in this thread.
I was always thinking about getting the Apistogramma, so today I assisted with my LFS and sadly told me that the fish available for import ran out very quickly, so there were only a handful of species left available. I was a little disappointed but anyway, there is still something interesting in the final list. The fish that I was going to order and that unfortunately have left the stock were:
-7x Corydoras eques
-Hypancistrus debilittera
-Apistogramma iniridae

Aww. That's disappointing.

Id say that you could get the first two.
Those corys would be nice and L129 are a very nice pleco. :)

Yes, I was discouraged by the fact that I could not obtain these species, I have not had a pleco for 13 or 14 years, I ordered a Hypancistrus inspector to a reputable fish store in the capital of the country a few months ago and he arrived dead, so They agreed to send me a new specimen at no cost, and he also arrived dead. So I just haven't had any luck with them, but right now I'm waiting for an angel fish that excites me a lot, and I have not seen one of them in several years :)

Sorry to hear about the pleco.

If you are looking for angelfish that excite you maybe train your efforts on trying to obtain a group of altums angels? If you are able to get a bigger tank.

Jay, you hit the nail on the head, I'm expecting an Altum angel, I'm a little worried about being just a specimen, but I'm going to acclimatize and condition it the same way saltwater angelfishes do. Regarding the main tank, I have 3 angels, Bulgarian red chek, Scalare wild and Albino pearlscale, but I am willing to move any specimen if the situation becomes too stressful for the Altum.
Unfortunately, I don't have the space for a bigger tank, I'm preparing a 180G for saltwater for 12 or 18 months from now, but that's the biggest I can get and it will definitely be saltwater. Time will tell if I can get at least 100 or 120 gallons for fresh water, but I find it very difficult.

Regarding acclimating altums, if you buy a group I suggest adding something like roobios tea and adding them to a bare bottom tank. They have a tendency to drop to the bottom and drag their fins on the bottom which can lead to infection or fungus and many altum keepers add some sort of tannin source to counter this.

Anther method I have seen used with discus that seems that would bo good for altums is add them to a large breeder box and let them get used to the big tank there, they should upright themselves after an hour in there and you can release them in the larger space.

Unfortunately there was no Altum angelfish, the LFS ordered them but they just didn't send them and they didn't come in the boxes. Well, it wasn't all bad, I was able to get a couple of interesting species, but I'm disappointed not to get the Altum angelfish. Anyway, here you have a photograph, these poor boys were haunted by my albino angel and my bulgarian angel, also by melanotaenias too. I hope the situation disappears, luckily they were fed immediately.
