The only reason that I stopped considering them was that they aren't very colorful. I might get some GBRs if the apistos don't work but I don't know.

Im not sure what strain to get. Double red or 'rio xingu'. I want blue. Which would you get? However there is a price difference with the DR being cheaper.

yes, it is nice. Not blue but a consideration of mine.

I will look out for them and if I get an opportunity i'll probably get them
 
I like apistogramma elizabethae, its one of the harder apistos to keep.

I wouldn't do GBR with angels, they need a tank to themselves built around them. Angel's wouldn't like em.

Oh yes! I have considered them. I really like them but my wallet doesn't so....

It was just something I was tossing around in my head. Just an idea. If the apistos don't work I may just do keyholes or golden dwarf cichlids.
 
Ok so. On aquabid there is some Golden dwarf cichlids (Nannacara anomala) for a decent price (if I can win them). Right now the bid id 41 for 6 of them. I know 6 is a bit much so I could 1. sell/give some away and/or 2. get a pair and move them to a different tank for breeding them. What do you guys think? Apisto or golden dwarf?
Oh, and this is the last lot of them. The opportunity closes on 4/4.
