You want to get the temp right before you add the Bio spria. Bio spira is Cycle, except it really does work and cycle your tank. You need to add the packet of Bio spria along with a FULL fish load.

You do not need to wait because you are bypassing the normal 6-8 week cycle by adding bacteria to the tank. This bacteria is the stuff that will convert the ammonia to nitrite and then to nitrates.

can u get this bio sphira in canada at pet land?
Its actually illegal to be sold in Canada. I ran into the same problems. You have two options now. These people sell it to Canadians are are really good about keeping it cold: http://fishstoretn.com/bio_spira.html The other option is just to cycle the tank fishless. For this you will need ammonia, and will have to wait the 6-8 weeks it takes. But if you can get some gravel (a cup full) or some filter media from someone who has already cycled, and add it to your tank it will make the cycle go faster.

i also have a 20 g iv had it for about 9 months can i put somthing from that tank in the new 80 g im gettign to speed it up
