any one know of a good diet?

did someone say yoohoo?

....chocalte ....i need chocolate! .....

Well, at one time I had lost 20lbs rather quickly....and didn't do any extra physical activity. I just didn't eat anything until my stomach growled and then when I did eat (and I ate whatever I wanted to BTW)...I made myself stop eating when I had really had enough..but would have liked to eat more.

It was hard at first but I was careful about how much I put on my plate..about half of what I thought I could eat...and didn't take anymore once that was gone...had to get up and leave the table if everyone else was still eating.

I found that after awhile I no longer had any interest in sugery treats and started choosing more healthy items. I kept all the weight off up until last year....I had put 10lbs back on right after my mom died and I haven't been able to muster up the will to go back to that regime...try as I might...I keep giving in to the goodies...lol. Well, Lord willin, I'll get that all back off before much longer...

I have to tell you that this was a Christian diet program...I worked through the difficulties with bible scripture and encouragement from others who were in the same program. I don't think I could have done it otherwise.....and I think the lack of those two things at this time is the reason I'm having such a hard time now...

But basically...if you don't go that route, I think the secret to loosing weight is to learn to like being hungry...lol... ;)

I hope you're not serious...that's a good way to develop an eating disorder! Better to learn to recognize your hunger cues, don't rush through meals (yeah, I know that's tough in a busy household!), and only eat until your hunger is comfortably satisfied. And, as someone mentioned earlier, have your biggest meal at breakfast and smallest at dinner. :)

Good for you...keep up the walking! :) I like egg McMuffins too...but I only have them when we're on a road trip (can't resist the drive-thru!) I don't follow my own advice about meals though. I'm horrible about eating anything for breakfast! And last night, while watching Survivor, I munched on chips and a chocolate bar! Guess I was making up for the 1 hour power walk I did yesterday morning. I tell ya, the return of all my favourite shows is going to be tough on my figure! I'm going to have to double up on the exercise time this fall & winter!

Not eating, and loosing weight isn't the best idea too. Because once you loose your goal of 10lbs or whatever, most people go back to what they were eating before. The problem is that your body has lowered its metabolism, and can do with the lower food intake. When you suddenly start eating again, your body doesnt need it and you gain the weigh again. Exercise and a balance is the best way to go.
