After seeing those pics, I dont think I'll ever be able to recommend a 6700k light.

9325k looks awesome. Havent heard of them before. Although how big of a difference can it be, if only 600k seperates it from 10kk.

yes, I was thinking the same thing, so what does a 10,000k look like? is it pretty much the same, whats the difference?

I just read this on another site.....

The 10000K will have a more bluish hue to the human eye. It will also have less red emissions emitted (visible spectrum) which help with stem elongation. A lot of people like the 10000K for planted tanks as the blue emissions stimulate photosynthesis.
10,000K gives a really bright, intense look. That is favorable for some designs. It also works well with certain colors of fish.

Hi granny! Don't you still have the 9325 GE bulbs that I suggested you buy the first time you wanted to switch bulbs/lights? Or won't they fit into your new light fixture? I don't think you'll see a big difference between the 9325 and the 10,000. But I knew you would not like the 6700....yellow as yellow can be!

You'll have much more watts now then and that should be pretty awesome for you. I tried to double the bulbs on my tanks and the fish didn't like the increased brightness. They hid in the shadows of the plants and driftwood and were much more easily spooked. Different fish like different things. Post pics when you get your new bulbs in!

didnt I post a link to pics of different lights in the other thread
if not I'll find it again for you..its about 9325K lights, but shows pics of the 8000k (nice bulb there ) 6500-6700,10000k and some others

heres one.. there is a probably a couple more someplace..just look through the whole thread, alot of tank pics with different spectrum bulbs

http://www.aquaticplantcentral.com/forumapc/science-aquatic-lighting/723-9325k-difference.html

another suggestion was going to be the dual bulbs 6700k/10000k
^beat me to it...

Do beware that not all 10,000K bulbs are created equal. Some use a lot of light at too low a wavelength to be of any use to plants while others crowd the blue end of the spectrum at several different wavelengths, at least some of which are beneficial.

I have a 6700K bulb in my 46 - and I have some 8000K (or 8800K?) ones I got on clearance - I guess it's time for me to do a comparative photoshoot.
