AquariumPlants.com

I've only dealt with aquariumplants.com and had great experiences, although I had a substitution, but that is the policy and being a novice I didn't know better. Even contact via phone I was able to get Mark several times.

If Robert is not doing substitutions, I say kudos to you Robert!
Nice forum eh Bigfishes? Now Robert, you didn't run to someone for "damage control" did you? Very fishy... You aren't putting much faith in other's intelligence if you think a couple bad experiences are going to ruin your business. Not that you think this, it just seems you're trying VERY hard to look good.

MAYBE Len should have clarified how long ago his transaction occurred. A few years to me isn't that long, but things change and apparently for the better at aquabotanic. From what I know of Len, and I only know him on these boards, he seems to be a stupendous person and I can't see how a simple miscommunication or botched order could cause him to be so adamant about using a site.

Certainly you can have bad experiences at any site, it's how they make it right that brings back the business.

...just because I am a wise-guy...were you two married before? :thud:
:D

Just for the record, Robrt H. and I are in discussion, and it appears there may be some resolution to my past experience. Everyone deserves an opportunity to make things right, and had I thought further discussion would resolve my issues I probably would have persued it sooner.

Most of the online stores are ran by individuals who simply love plants, and don't have the resources to provide a full customer experience.

Wow did I ever catch this thread late.

I wouldn't exactly call us small. We have over 20,000 gallons of tanks that we grow plants in and over 8,000 sq feet of aquarium product inventory. Last year we shipped about 230,000 plants to individuals and pet stores. Our biggest problem is that the phone is always ringing and we can't answer every call. We are normally at work from 7am CST to 7pm CST and sometimes later, like last night when we were there until 2am. The busiest phone times are from 7am-10am and 2pm - 6pm CST. We will soon be adding another plant geek and an 800 number for sales to help out with this issue.

Works every time with any vendor.

Has anyone experience with http://www.floridadriftwood.com?

I order some plants & driftwood last week, and they have yet to arrive... an email went ignored, but they did answer the phone on tuesday on the 1st ring. They promised it would ship overnight wednesday or thursday, but it did not arrive nor does the web site show it as shipped... Also kinda strange, the driftwood pieces I "bought" are still listed for sale.

A little off-topic, but I ordered some Sterba's Corys from http://www.liveaquaria.com, they showed up promptly and in good shape today. Though one does not look like the others - pale and no stripes/dots I can see, of course I have kept the light dim per their instructions. Either he is very stressed, an albino, or not a Sterba?

I'd have to strongly disagree with that statement. If it had been that easy I would never have posted negatively about either store.

That being said I now have a short list of three on-line plant Vendors I'll deal with and Aquabotanics and aquariumplants.com are both on the list.

They sent me a peppered cory instead of an Agassiz cory once. Send them an email or call them and have it verified.

I place an order almost two weeks ago and have call and emailed them several times about my order. I got no reply from email and when I talked to the person on the phone the told me both times that my order would ship that day but it never did. These people have the worst customer service of any company I have ever dealt with. They also charged my credit card when they took the order instead of when it is shipped so they have my $350 and I do not have any merchandise. Take my advice and take your business someplace else unless you want a lot of anguish.

Holy old thread.

I ordered $50 of product from them when I setup my tank and everything arrived a few days after I ordered it. Plants looked great and are still thriving.

I ordered $50 worth plants from them. I got emailed say my ordered was delayed so they are going to ship it sometimes like Monday to Wednesday. I tried to called them severals times but no answer, I emailed them but no email back. Worst customer service ever!. I ll post an update here when I receive my plants.
