Arapaima Pond Build

Well, filling up a bit again.
See if I can get some guys putting in a bit more sand, then try to reach the max level this week.
need to make some overflow in the settling-tanks, but need to check the water-levels first...
Will try to get a few pics up later today for the water-level.

Cheers,
Luc

Need to start bringing up couple of walls and finish other things first.
Did get a bunch of Feeders, maybe a 100 or so, which are darting around in a big school in the pond.
Beautiful sight.

And of course, to keep you guys happy, some pictures of the pond and,..long time ago,....some pictures of Mr.T.
Cleaning his home, so got some very nice shots of him, full body...

In the last picture you can see the white plastified metal fences...
They will be hanging around the pond to keep Mr. T. free of birds and from jumping out.
Still many things to do, but likely get most done this Saturday.
Then it's a matter of getting more of those fence-panels and start hanging them.
The fence will also provide support to hang a lot of orchids..

Top, sides and bottom will be tied up to metal except the 'viewing' area, where I have to figure a way to open it easily.
Likely will be a long stick, just pushing it forward and up with hinges at the top.

that looks fantastic...just incredible. :highfive:

I am really jealous. Nice work. What do you feed him? Ducks?

Thanks for the comment Mike...I feed him pellets and he gets prawns whenever our cleaning lady wins some money in the lottery, which is on a regular basis...lol...good for her, I never win.
Additionally, there's always some feeders for him to chase as well.

But typically, he's ok with the pellets, chews them down real messy, with half of it flying around in the water.

Cheers,
Luc

I'm sure he'll get a few neighborhood cats in his new home soon!!! If you see orange tabby hair you know you won't need to feed Mr.T again for awhile.

Well, the meaning is to fully enclose the pond so that there's no chance for cats to get in there. (or Mr.T. out of it for that matter)..

yeah, that whole jumping and ramming thing may make standing near that wall watching him a little frightening if he gets nervous. DUCK!!!!
