Do you guys count your fish every day to make sure none is missing? Even though i am very relaxed and easygoing type person but when it comes to my fish tank, i must count my fish to make sure none is missing(or rotting somewhere) everyday?! is this normal, anyone else do it? :o

It's one of the reason i am switching to a rainbow tank so there are bigger and fewer fish to worry about. Right now my guppy/cory based community tank is driving me nuts, i can never properly count the # of fish i have.

I have done that in the pass with my african cichlid didn't think that was weird

i count them occasionally. my otos i count every day because they're new and many people say they're delicate.

I have to count mine everyday.

Cory counting — tell me about it! I've got:
5 Corydoras melini
4 C. trilineatus
3 C. sodalis
3 C. agassizii
The tank is mostly planted and only time they all come out is when the shrimp pellets hit the gravel. Tallying 15 catfish all frantically scrambling for their share is an interesting mix of fun and frustration.

Nice fish CyberTrip, I hope you are going to put a cave or some decor in there for them. Plants wouldn't be bad either.:) Is that their ull size, or are they going to get bigger? They almost look too big for that tank, but they do have lots of cruising room which will be good in the meantime.

Well, right now it's cycling, but yeah I will put some caves and stuff in it. They are not staying in there. I'm looking for a new home for them as that tank will become a Cichlid tank. They are not anywhere near full size. They are less than 6" long and can double their size.
