Bala Sharks & Convict Chichlids?

ok well, i made a choice... i got 2 convicts. male and female... cue porn music. ones nice and big (male) and the female is really nice... smaller tho! both really nice tho, they seemed to be getting along well with one another in the store.
on a side note...i just added some new gravel...water is kinda merky, is that bad for the fish, should i wait a bit before introducing them?

How to research fish;
-Google the name (if you use a common name most sites returned will include the latin name which you can also plug into a search engine for even more sites). In general, trust pure info sites over sites that sell fish.
- read about the fish- this means its needs and recommended tank size and suggestee tankmates.
Ask Qs you still may have or to resolve conflicting info.
