The tret does look like a mini front -- perfect! So I think I'll plan for:

1 Tretocephalus
4 Calvus
4 Leleupi
3 Upside-Down Catfish

(I'm probably 3-4 weeks from stocking though, so things could change )

it probly will change. as you look at the different tanganyikans youll form several different stock plans, or at least i do, ive got enough ideas to fill 20 tanks with tangs, they are all so cool.

As far as filtration, my other large tanks have 1 AquaClear with 1 Rena XP. I'm thinking about trying something different for this tank though -- what about one big canister like an Eheim 2217 or Fluval 305?
