Bigest tank

Well, for most folks it would be a little much, for college students anything bigger than 5g might be a little much.

Hush with that nonsense! I am getting either a 6 gal or (hopefully) a 10 gal for X-Mas. My roommate will just have to get used to it the way I had to get used to his frequent drunkeness. It helps that I started with a tiny tank, so a bigger one will not seem like a big deal.

i think i would make it a half and half tank, with a little mudy/rocky shore in the back so i could keep some mudskippers or fiddlers that would walk up and down on the "shore, then keep some sort of amazonian fish in the water, like angelfish or smaller, so i could keep a SCHOOL (100+) neons or cardinals in there. that would be sweet. i would take out any windows in the room that i did it in though, because it would look so much better without any other light.

Hey 125gJoe,
isn't this your next project?... ... .... ..jim
I'm extremely happy that I reached my limit! :D

That does it! When we build our new house, the basement is gonna be my tank. I'll have six feet all the way around it for viewing. Course I'll have to open it to the public and charge admission to keep up with the maintenance costs. Will ya'll help me stock it!:dance

Ahhhh, what would we be without dreams?

Here is a pic. Couldn't take the pic last night, light was out.

You are going to need to take some of those fish out. You have too many big fish in such a small space. Do your Ocar and Arowana fight at all? Nice pleco by the way.

No, the arowana gets along with everyone, except at feeding time. The albinos and the tigers fight sometimes. I'm trying to sell some of them now. Don't have the money for another tank, plus I'm moving at the end of January, this monster is gonna be tough enough to move. That pleco is 17 inches, the other is 14.

i would have made the 1700 tank a snail tank. yay!
just buy some island with coral around it and a freshwater lake and stream on the island. you could just go diving all the time. and mother nature will take care of maintenence.
