well, hope it goes well today, will post some pics tonight..Bit miffed off really because one the lenses has broken on one the metal halide units, so, untill the new lenses comes next week, i can only use one halide unit....So, forgive the Half Light effect when you see the pics people......However, it aint gonna dampen me spirits...Give the fish a tanking too this morning, telling them how today is gonna pan out and they promise to let me "Net" them after only 5 minutes of chasing, shrimps just said nothing...hmmmmmm...

Anyways...Update you all later....

Niko

Well people...It is done...

Have to say, it went very smoothly indeed...Took me and my dad about 3 hours to move it all across...

However, i do have to report one loss...one of cleaners seems to of completly dissapeared, i know it was there in the morning when i fed the tank as i always inspect my fish and invert before i go out to work..I dont know where he went to...So, a little sad as it was the first thing i ever purchased for that tank and was rather attached to it...

When i get back from work tonight i shall be putting the fish and inverts into the main tank...think they will be glad to get out of the confines of the little temporary tank..anyways, i shall be posting some pictures tonight, once its all settled down and fish are in their new homes..Please be aware that i have not finished aqua-scaping yet as i am just waiting for the last 5 Kg's of rock to cure...That should be done middle of next ( been curing for 6 weeks now )...

Just want to send out a massive thanks to each and everyone who has had input into this build, helped me when i got stuck...

I also hope that some-one who has been following this thread is able to gain a little insight and knowledge to what has been involved and maybe give some inspiration or design idea's to someone who is concidering doing a full DIY build...

catch you all later...

Niko

Well...As promised...

Here is a couple of pics of the full diy build......finally...

Just got to put in my live rock that is finishing curing, should be ready nexy wednesday, so i can finish off my aqua-scaping like how i want it...

on the sump, i just need to top up with sand, stupid boy me did not buy enough....thick or what...when the extra sand has been put in, i can then chuck in some rock rubble and add some macro algae

Any feedback or constructive critisim is always welcome...

Heater will be moved to the sump after a few days when the temperature level has been nornalised..

Niko

P.S...The water level has been taken up to the top now aswell....

P.P.S...Remember, i am IT Manager, not a wood craftsman.....he he he he

I have'nt logged on for a awhile, and I just remembered that you where setting it up, and thought has '' he posted any pictures yet ''. Its shame about that MH and the cleaner, but dont kick yourself in the teeth, just sit back and be chuffed with your handy work. And lots more pics when it all aquascaped.
Well done. :thm:

ps..I have been following this thread since the beginning and i hope you dont stop posting.

Yothereyo.....Thanks for all the positive comments buddy, its nice to hear it. I wont be stopping posting just because its finished now....

Andy - Again, thanks for the comments all the way through this project, the clowns absolutly love it...Think they enjoy all the extra space so much. I shall be adding another 11lbs of rock on wednesday or thursday, depends on the water results in the curing bin...and i have just put another 10 odd lbs into another curing bin and then that is the lot really mate...Looking to order my first coral in the next day or so..Its gonna be a yellow leather or pulsing xenia, not sure which yet...
