Bulbs at wall-mart?

Did you just "drop" your bulbs in, or did you anchor them? I'd been looking at them at Walmart for awhile, and after reading this post, I decided to buy some. The first one, I just aimed and dropped in- and it landed just about where I wanted it. The second one is still just floating around the surface of my tank! :/ Did this happen for any of you? If so, how did you anchor it down? I think I have some lead straps from my plant bunches at Petsmart, but I don't like the idea of lead in my tank....

I just left mine floating or lying on the gravel until I say some sprouts, then moved and burried them half their length in the gravel, :D root side down. I had about 2.7 wpg and they really took off.

I have also bought a few packs of them. The lillies I bought one sprouted and is about 6" tall and the other is not doing so well, it is starting to grow though now. I have also bought some of the others and as far as I can see all of them are sprouting for me. I have some in a 20L and some in a 20H. The 20H has a DIY CO2 and the 20L doesn't but in both tanks they seem to be growing fine. Within a day of me putting the Aponogeon bulbs in they started to sprout were the lily took about a week. I really do hope they are nice when they are full grown.

cool....I was checking those out not too long ago...but now I will buy some, since you guys, for the most part, have had success with them. :D

I got some random bulbs at Petsmart and 2 of the 4 are growing... not sure which ones yet (as they are only 2" tall...)

Someone post a picture or two of what your bulbs grew to be...

Did the one that is still floating ever sprout? Mine is still floating too! :-/ The other has kindda spouted...

I've had amazing luck with the lilly bulbs, from 2 bulbs I've got about 6 plants so far. when the plant starts it's own roots it'll "fall" out of the bulb. don't toss the bulb, I ended up leaving it in the back of the tank and sprouts a new plant in about a month

I'm gonna grab some on my home from WM......can't wait to see how they do!
