We tried a similar philosophy with the Christmas tree. The minute we set it up we grabbed him and threw him in it (live blue spruce so it was pretty prickly). He sat there and stared at us then started making himself comfortable. That's when we busted out the squirt guns, which he was scared of for about 2 weeks. What I usually do is let my cats jump up and fall in......typically they wont do it again.
I don't want it to get that far. If he breaks the glass canopy then the light is going in with him. :shocked:you know what it took to keep my cat off of the tank? (he's weird and really likes to drink the warm water, he's always in the shower too) It took him breaking the glass canopy and falling in. He went for a little swim and a freak out and has never been back on top since. I had tried, yelling, the spraybottle, two sided tape and foil. It was the swimming that finally did it.
