Ash,

If and when you do drop a 5k plus tank in your house, I think that would be a project worthy of a PBS documentary. Obviously shooting it in Japan over the year it would take to complete would be challenging, and I am sure other networks would consider the project.

Also, all the aquarium books available deal in the setup and maintenance of tanks less than 100 gallons. What you and some others here are doing is a different animal. Same concepts, but dramatically different planning, execution and technology. Ever considered writing an aquarium book on "Big *** Tanks". I think the 200 gallon plus crowd is a growing population and would benefit from your knowledge and experience.

Thanks Avenolpey, given a lttle more time and experience and that could be a good idea. ;)

And you could possibly get PBS or Animal Plant or Discovery Channel to foot the bill. Deeeeeeeep pockets on the big-wig T.V. corporations. ;)

Firstly Ash - WOW! nice tank man i can but dream....
I have to agree with the above statement. I bought a 30g in Jan, have just bought a 100g (pics will be posted once set up and cycled etc.) and now that is looking a bit small for sosme of the fish I would like to keep (Arowana etc.) I am currently seeing if my relationship would be over with a nice 300g i've seen!

Any advice form anyone with 100+ g would be a good sticky in my opinion as it took me a week to find a heating cable (for substrate) capable of 100g - what happens above that??????

Ashdavid ... you are my idol ... :bowing: :bowing: :bowing: ... when i grow up, i want a 1850 gallon tank, and build a 10,000 gal tank in my house !!!! i'll even donate a $1 to start off your adventure ..... :D
did they mention where the tank was located ???? cause i'm in NYC, and would love to visit that bar or whatever it is ..... now time to convince my GF to convert our small arse apartment into a tank ....... :D :D
