got this new addition to my killifish hobby, i got two trio pairs in two 2.5 gallon tanks per trios, now just wait for the frys to start showing up in the tank. these fishes are small almost less than an inch, so i need to feed them small live baby daphnias and crush flakes, plus chop frozen blood worms.

since you seem experienced with killfish, can you answer this question?

Do they like to dwell in the plants?

thx for the info

I have one male clown killi, very jealous of your females (can't find 'em here)!

My killi liked a little floating ring of duckweed I had... he considered it his territory and would chase the other fish away from it.

theres this petshop here in honolulu that imports fishes, yesterday i went and theres this 20 gallon tank filled with clown killies, i know the owner so he gave me a net and let me catch my pairs, theres about 50 or more in the tank. now i'm waiting for my RACHOVII BIERA 98 eggs, so far im currently breeding the Golden Panchax

Ooh I just got some clown killies too! FWIW, they very much stay on the surface, and tend to ignore any non-floating plants. They do swim down and around the tank, but not as much as the other fish I have them with (mosquito rasboras and scarlet badis). Very cool nanofish! And pretty cheap too!

Also I'm in awe of your pictures lol. I've been completely unsuccessful in photographing them.

Oh dude, I didn't even notice you're in Hawaii, too! Which store?

AQUASCAPE by AIEA, the store owner name is JOJO, just go all the way at the back tanks, you see the killies in a 20 gallon tank lots of them, i believe they are young adults, give them couple more months they might start breeding. then again some will start breeding at early stage. they are almost an inch size. if i where you ill get 2 pairs of trios, these killies dosen't come around often
