CONFESSION! I FLUSH FISH!

Bob, you TROLL!!!!!
:swear::banhim::devil::troll:

Well I will read the thread after I post my thoughts.

People may hate me for this but I have to say it FISH ARE SIMPLY FISH AND I AM ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT IF WE WERE SMALL ENOUGH THEY WOULD EAT US WITH NO HESITATION. I love being able to keep fish and even name some of mine, but, they are still only fish AND THEY TASTE GREAT WITH OLIVE OIL, LEMON AND HERBS!!!! :cool:

In all truth, I have yet to ever flush a live, distressed or dying fish to the best of my knowledge. I have though used the white portal to get rid of dead fish who have seen better days.

I will do my best to see to it that a sick fish is given the best chances I can give it to recover. Though, I do advocate the taking out of a fish which is going past the point of recovery.

I will usually use one method which results in very quick death if not instantaneous to a second, though I do have the ability to use very sharp knives if need be.

I do my best not to impulse buy fish as I do not like to stress my tanks out with impulse fish and thereby throw out the balance and harmony I have worked so hard to establish. Though as it is in nature so it is in the tank FISH EAT FISH AND FISH BULLY FISH. Most of the deaths I have had in my tanks as of late (past 2 years) have come as a result of these 2 things.

Though I have wiped out a tank with melafix because I was misinformed as to the gallon size, was led to believe it was a 60g when it was in reality a 45g. I have also had a tank wipe out due to a dead fish stuck in a place where it should not have been.

One thing I have come to believe with tanks is that less is more. For example a tank full of juvies may look good but wait till they start to grow up TURF WAR!!!!:Angel:

I made a decision to move away from any tanks under 100g in favour of 150g+ so that I could give my fish better room, better environment and have better dispersion of nasty stuff in the water. Someone told me a bigger tank will crash less easy than a small tank so I decided to go big.

I will have to say one shortfall I have in fishkeeping is when people approach me to rehome a fish that is to big for them. I did this with 2 pacus and regretted it until I was able to rehome them, because as they grew (and boy did they grow) they became very mean and nasty.

I like chocolate milk........:lol2:

weather cruel or not dont flush anything down the terdlet thats not supposed to be in there it messes things up and cost us more taxes / utility bills...erk the worst is tampons ugh dont do it

Tampons and those little "wet wipes" things that are popular now. Ooh, and cigarette butts...all bad. I have a 50 year old septic and I'd like to keep it going...so I researched and only use Angel Soft now.

Being 'merican you probably don't know this, but the Daily Mail (or Daily Heil as it's also known owing to its support in the 30s for Moseley's fascists) is about as credible as a reporter of science as the World Weekly News. Put it another way, if they posted that grass was green I'd stick my head out of the window to check.

Good to know, I feel stupid now lol.

Please do not flush fish -- dead or alive. I don't know if you've had too much to drink or you're just having a bad day but atleast properly euthanize any fish (unwanted, sick, diseased, etc) before discarding them. I throw any deceased fish into my garden; makes great compost or they go in the trash. You would be amazed with the drugs, chemicals, contaminants, etc in the water system. Please be smart, be considerate, and be ethical. Take proper care of your 'trash'.
