CONFESSION! I FLUSH FISH!

I'm re-reading you original post, RBishop. Who are you referring to when you say "you"?

No one specific...everyone in general.

now, was that sarcasm? Or are you truly defying the animal kingdom?

I did forget one group: fungi. There are 4.

And about the respect, why do you disagree?

Rights can only be violated when the victim recognizes it and is offended. Fish do not fall into that catagory at their present level of development. They are instintive creatures.

Lord knows I wouldn't want to harm our world by flushing a biodegradable fish into the sewage system!

Much be much worse than all those meds we use to treat the tank and then water change away like we are doing something great....

Bob, I think you're a nice guy. Perhaps you're having a "off day" or maybe you really are being sarcastic. Either way, do what you see fit. I'm not one to impose my practices and beliefs on to others. God bless you and have a great day.

And P.S. I hope you walk in beauty wherever you go. :(

So what's the final verdict on flushing cats?

Sometimes I want to flush mine, especially when he sneaks outside, eats grass and then throws up on the carpet (making grass stains, of course!)

ummm...fish are not animals.....

respect and dignity is not involved..they have no idea they are being wronged..thus that doesn't apply.....

Prove "they feel"...you or any of the many scientists can not....their brain is not developed that way at all..

Fish are animals (not mammals, but certainly animals)

You are using a legal definition of rights, not an ethical one.

Recent research in Norway show teleost fishes show every evidence of both feeling and experiencing pain.

The last fish I flushed slapped me with a lawsuit.

...stupid fish.
