HOPEFULLY SOMEONE ON THIS SITE CAN HELP ME SINCE NOONE AT ANY PET SHOP IN THIS CITY CAN ALL MY FISH SEEM TO AT THE TOP OF MY TANK LIKE THEY ARE HUNGRY OR NEED AIR DOES ANYONE POSSIBLY KNOW WHY?

do a 50% water change, I am guessing that you have REALLY high ammonia. do it fast and keep testing the water until you get it down. Ammonia deprives water of O2 so that is why your fish are doing that good luck

Some people are computer illiterate and don't know that. What size tank do you have. What type of filtration, what kind of fish, how long have they been doing this? Any other symptoms? Will they eat. You need to give more information as it could be multiple things. Water parameters, water temprature, ect.

still confused

my algie fish is once in awhile jumping out of the tank but the rest of them are just kinda chilling at the top of the tank with there noses sticking out every now and then and i did a half tank change is it possible i over contioned the water i dont have an water tester as noone (meaning anyone at the store ) told me i needed to get that when i bought my aquarium and i am new to this could the fishies maybe be afraid of my tetra i have in there?oh yeah ps im sorry my caps was on i have a one yr old who tends to play with my keyboard

i have a 10 gal tank with 1 terta 1 sword marigold 1 african frog 1 barb tiger 1 painted platy and my algae eater i have the external filter and 2 air lines running into the tank one is the plant air line and th eother just a tube with a green thing on the end of it i lost a shark earlier today i am afraid more of my fish might die

1 terta
1 sword marigold
1 african frog
1 barb tiger
1 painted platy
1 algae eater

What kind of Tetra?
African Dwarf Frog?
What kind of algae eater?'

Most of the fish you have are schooling fish that need to be keeped in groups of 6 or more. I would try to return all the fish, and stock with some more appropriate fish for the tank.
