CP terraium - Plants only

Okay so I happened to come across this thread and have come to fallen in love with these plants. So after looking all through this thread I went and bought the book The Savage Garden and read it. I can't wait to get my first plant now and while researching some places to buy plants online I found a site called California Carnivores which is owned and Operated by Peter D'Amato the author of the book, even better yet their nursery is about an hour and half drive away from me. So it looks like I'll be picking up my first plant instead of ordering it. Also don't worry I will take a bunch of pictures of their nursery and post them here.
That's awesome! I've looked at CC site, but haven't ordered from them yet. It seems they never have what I'm looking for. I'm excited to see pics of the nursery... and what you bring home of course!
Incidentally, if you guys ever see a heliamorpha heterodoxa x minor for sale; let me know.

I finally had time to take some pics...
I got to looking at the soil the ceph was potted in, and it seemed really heavy. When I top watered, it took (IMO) way too long for it to drain. After all the research I did on this little guy, I ended up repotting him in a lighter mix of 1 part peat/2 parts pearlite/ 1 part long fiber sphagnum moss.
He had died back a little, and I cut off a couple of the older pitchers.
Then when I was looking at him today, I saw new growth! Hopefully he's settling in well.
A couple others from today:

So far I am 100% sure i'm going to get some type of Nepenthe going to see what they have, some Sarracenias and VFT's too.
For the Nepenthe I plan to grown indoors in a 20g tall that I have seating around. The Sarracenias and VFTs I should actually be able to grow them outside in this part of california in pots using either the tray method or I might try the bog method I haven't made up my mind yet.

If you go with the bog, definitely do a step by step thread with pics...that would be totally sweet. :thumbsup:
Have you looked into the differences between highland and lowland neps? That could hugely influence your decision. Keep in mind too, that some of them get huge (15"+ pitchers) when they're adults.
As far as starting out, I guess I would recommend post/trays. In my mind, it's the simplest way to go. I love the idea of a bog though. I'm still toying with a mini-bog for my sarr. and VFT's. I agree with Pappy though, if you set up a bog, you should totally do a build thread!
Your right I do need to take into account the adult size of the nep but since it will be the only plant in the terrarium I could go either way as far as lowland or highland. Also the idea of a mini bog does sound more fun the more I think about it.
