CP terraium - Plants only

I think you're right on the water issue. I picked up the pot and it's practically bone dry.

I placed the pot in a Tupperware container with some water and I plan on removing the sphagnum and doing that with the rest of the tank.

Thanks!!!It does need a short dormancy period, but from what I have read; it's not quite as demanding to over-winter as other plants... a little bit of a drop in temp and compost moisture should be enough to trigger it. Keep in mind that that's not first hand experience, but research...
 
Very pretty and cool stuff. CPs are definitely on my list of things to own before I die.

Thanks for the info J, good to know. I get a slight drop in temp and humidity in my paludariums during the winter anyway, I wonder if that would be enough. I might have to give it a shot in the next tank. Would be a great way to control the extra fruit flies that the fish don't get to, when they make it to shore.
 
Australian Pitcher plant looks amazing. Could tell its small from the size comparison to the 3" pot. I got several small aloe veras in small 3" pots so not hard to get an idea how small it is.

I never knew there was so many varieties of CP's. I knew bout honeydews pitcher plants and Venus Fly Traps and you got those and many variations of them but one I wasnt aware of which I dont see in your collection is a butterwort. Barely seen this plant today. Check it out.
