I was able to pick up a VFT at home depot today they had it planted in 100% long fiber S. So I replanted it in 50/50 peat moss and perlite then found a nice sunny spot for it. I will let you guys know how it does.

That was how mine was planted too. I have to wonder how important really it is what they're in, so long as it's fertilizer deficient and retains moisture.
That actually gave me a lot of validation. It's pretty much exactly what I was thinking of. I can't believe how many VFTs were in there!
Yeah I know I was like holy cow thats a grip of VFT's. When I saw that I knew he knew what he was doing and that you guys may benefit from it considering your talking bout making mini bogs.
Im not sure if you noticed but that pic in the link is a fully submerged pic you could tell by the cardinal tetras swimmin at a higher level then the plants lol.
Totally give me a lot more confidence to move forward with it. Just have to experiment with the plants outside in this climate. If it works, I'm definitely going to do it.
