hehe... I'm planning on just that when I get into my new place. I was planning to buy another rack, put the two side by side and insulate them together. I've got some ideas on how to really make it efficient, but I have to think through it all first.Or you can buy another rack and fill that up!
How deep are you putting the clay layer? That's a really interesting idea. That actually brings up an idea I had a few days ago. These bogs I've been mucking around in have a very thick layer of clay just below the peat/mineral soil surface. I was thinking of adding a layer of clay to the bottom of my mini bog when I repot everything. The main advantage to this will be water retention. Even when clay is dry it contains about 20% water. This water only leaves once the clay has been fired. It'll make the pot a lot heavier, but thing of the benefits!
Good to see you back around, Pappy! Glad to hear things are going well. Can't wait to see your pics.Hey all!
Holy crap Death Pony, those pics are awesome! That is probably the coolest internship imaginable...I'm jealous!
Unfortunately I've trimmed down my collection to just one tank's worth of plants. Just don't have the time for a ton of plants anymore...had to get rid of the fish as well
Hopefully I will have some time in the near future to snap some pics of what I have left.
