This boggles my mind. There are more starts in the universe than grains of sand on earth. As a matter of fact, according to scientists current estimates there are around 100 stars for every grain of sand. :jaw:
yes and I'm one of them. This boggles my mind. There are more starts in the universe than grains of sand on earth. As a matter of fact, according to scientists current estimates there are around 100 stars for every grain of sand. :jaw:
That's awesome! I had an astronomy friend once tell me that there are so many stars that if you could jumpt to the farthest, dimmest star you could see, and continued doing that, eventually you would see the back of your head. (Has something to do with the space/time continuum theory. Like the theory that if there was a Santa Clause, the speed needed to accomplish the monumental task would actually make him younger.)
I have no idea what he meant but regardless, it is just too vast to comprehend! I cannot conceive of your grain of sand in that room! I have to admit that I do try to envision the "edge" of it and yet scientists say it is still expanding. So will the Haldron Collider create the black hole that will suck us all in, when and if it ever fires up?
I think the theory behind the collider being able to rip open the continuum is a bunch of **** if you ask me. The most it would be able to do IMHO is set off a nuclear detenation ripping a whole in the earth not space and time.I have no idea what he meant but regardless, it is just too vast to comprehend!
