The water has nothing you need. So there was nothing good in that. The decor had some bacteria, but not a lot. It looks like you are going to have to do a cycle.

NO I dont have a test kit 
but I do have a website that someone gave me yesterday to buy online...so I am either going to do that or write down the test kit and then see if any pets stores in saint john have what I want......and I have no idea really about cycling...

Sounds like the 5g is cycled. What you want to do is get the gravel and filter media (sponges) and put it in the 10g.

I never tested my water in my 5 gallon tank either...I never lost any fish or anything...and I did regular water changes somewhat daily .... if that matters
actually....I'll have to use that test kit because I cant find the addy to the other one right now....but it was something like 12$ and something...maybe it was an american website or something ??? I dunno...
I already have a filter for my 10 gallon tank...it's an aqua clear one that came with the tank....and the rocks are fine for my 10 gallon tank.... (i have too many in my 5 gallon anyways)
Ahh Big Als USA. They sell it for $12 US, and then its $35CAN. Same company. It sucks. But I guess we just have to pay it.
I know that I need a new carbon thing for my 10 gallon tank and a new sponge....hey it said on that box something about some ammoina thing to go in the filter....on top of the carbon and the carbon is on top of the sponge
