Sounds like the 5g is cycled. What you want to do is get the gravel and filter media (sponges) and put it in the 10g.

So it sounds like you've pretty much got a good start, if you've already got the gravel in.

well...the carbon that is in there right now is in like a sac or whatever and welll...it's all black now....is that bad???? and the sponge...well I tried just cleaning it and then putting it back in..but it have a funky smell and I can't get the black spots out of the middle of it....so I am just going to buy another one....
what should I do about the carbon ??? it was white when I started...and now it is completely black......

just making sure you guys know that I already have my fish in the tank.....

I paid C$26.99 (on sale) at PetsMart for the AP Freshwater Master Test Kit. Big Al's carries it for $35 (they have a Canadian website as well). And I find the LFSs around here carry it for around $35 as well. It's not hard to find...just got to shop around for the best price.

I'm not sure I can explain what it smells like but it is pretty nasty.....are you sure about getting rid of the carbon...because I thought you needed it in there all the time.... !!?!?
and I dont want to lose my fish.....and the water is still...well it looks like there is smoke floating around in in....like as in when someone smokes a cig and you can see all the smoke in the room....that is what it looks like in my tank.....

The carbon is always black, not an issue. If you choose to get rid of it as Kasakato suggests, replace it with another filter media, like another sponge. I don't think it's imperative that you take the carbon out right now though...it will quickly become ineffective for removing toxins, but bacteria will grow on it too.
