i just relized it says blood meal on the bag it's miracle grow blood meal and it STINKS!!! this stuff wont settle either. also would blue pearl shrimp die if a little salt go in there water. i want to use this internal filter i used for my crab tank but dont know if the salt that probably got stuck in it will hurt them. should i just boil the pads and wash the filter good?

not sure, but im pretty sure shrimps and scaleless fish are very sensitive to salt

i don't think u ever use blodd meal mg in fish tanks, just the regular omg

omg meaning organic miracle grow

I thought blood meal contains a bunch of nitrogen, copper, and other stuff that is not good for aquarium use.

it still says organic though. i REALLY dont want to redo this tank. i thought alot of shrimp like brackish water though.

Isn't there a label that lists ingredients in the bag?

Yea blood meal is not good for aquariums.
Just wondering why you want soil in your tank?
