unfortunately still no sign of him, if maybe he hasn't made it would i not see or find remains? this is killing me.

I was hoping your picture would have shown a tank full of rock. But with the amount you have there I'd have thought you'd of seen him either way. I've got to admit, I'd be tempted to start pulling rocks out to look. If you do, just remember you'll never get them back the same way - it's called sod's law!!!

like i said its still a new tank, working on the reef scape. there really isnt all that many crevaces to hide. would there not be any remains? or would he be eaten up by now.

im afraid after this amnt of time that he did not make it. when my 37g tank was new (3 months or so) i got my first skunk cleaner. it lived for only a short time. i don't know why. that was the only casuality i've had in that tank besides a firefish that went carpet surfing. since then i've gotten a fire shrimp and another skunk cleaner both of which have done wonderfully. i don't know if it was due to the newness of my tank or because they had just gotten the shrimp in at the lfs when i purchased it that it died. i never found the body but i honestly never searched for it either. i hope yours is just hiding really well but if not, chin up, it's obviously not anything you did...

i suppose i have to come to terms with the fact that he is gone, just an idea: could my emerald crab have anything to do with his dissapearance?

I doubt it. I have two emerald crabs, 2 cleaner shrimps and two peppermint shrimps. Oh and a reef lobster! I have absolutely no problem with any of them eating anything they shouldn't.

Unfortunately we do lose things for no apparent reason, so don't think it's anything you've necessarily done:)
