ok, i suppose i have to come to terms with it! so i wanna add some peppermint shrimp coz i have some small aiptasia after killing off the big ones, do they really work? and how many should i get for my tank size?

They are hit or miss. Some experience them going after the aiptasias soon after being introduced to the tank. Others find they never eat them or seem to put a dent in them. If you do get them, they are social and like to be in a group for security. Expect them to be cryptic with you though. If this is for your 24g I'd probably get 3.
